SPEC GENERAL QUESTIONS

Do I need to register to Utelier to be able to use Spec?

Yes, you need to be registered with Utelier in order to be able to use our Spec online tool. 

How many Specs can I create?
At present, there is no limit to the number of specs a user can create.

Where do my Specs save?
Your Specs will be saved on the Utelier cloud servers and are backed up daily.  
However, it is important that you always click the SAVE button after any updates or changes.

What If I accidentally delete my Spec?
If you accidentally delete your Spec, please email support@utelier.com and we will do our best to help. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to retrieve all your deleted data but we will do our best to restore as much as possible.

What If I am not able to upload all the information at once - can I come back to this?
Yes. The beauty of Spec is that it is a working document and that you are able to edit and make changesto at your convenience. 

But remember to always click SAVE after any edits and changes you make along the way.

Can I download my Specs? What format does it save in?
Yes, you can download your Specs in a PDF format. 

Are my Specs safe from being copied?
As per the Terms and Conditions, users agree to, upon registering on the Utelier platform, all uploaded content is proprietary to the user and cannot be used by others. 

Access to any content within the users' account is password protected and therefore now available for public viewing.

Can I create a Spec on my phone?
Yes, you can but at present Spec has been designed with Desktop users in mind.

Can I duplicate a Spec?
Yes, you can duplicate a Spec. This will make it easier for you when you have a nearly-identical product but need to change a few details like colourway or materials.

When you are logged into your Spec, hover over the Spec you wish to duplicate. You will notice that a button under 'View' appears called 'Duplicate'. Click on this button.  You will be asked to confirm that you wish to duplicate. A copy of your Spec will appear, which you should rename to match the new product. 


Can I access my Spec offline?
At present, you are only able to access the Spec tool when connected to the internet. If you wished to access specs offline, then you must download them and store in a folder at a location that allows for offline access.


Can I create multiple colourways on one product?
At present, you would need to duplicate the Spec and change the colourway to the variation required. But we are working on improving this functionality.
